About Natasha Jansen
Natasha Jansen is a corporate commercial and data privacy law attorney with extensive experience in the Healthcare Industry. She is an admitted attorney with over 16 years’ post qualification experience and has qualified with a BCom (Law) Degree and an LLB Degree.
Throughout her career, she has gained a balance of legal experience, both in the legal industry at reputable law firms, and in the corporate sector as a legal consultant and an in-house legal counsel.
She articled at TKI Scott attorneys, where she gained experience in commercial law, with specific focus on commercial drafting. She then practiced at Routledge Modise Attorneys in Sandton (at the time practicing as Eversheds South Africa) for four and a half years in the commercial law department and later in the commercial litigation department, where she ran many high-profile commercial litigation and arbitration matters. She then moved to Deloitte South Africa as a Senior Manager of the Deloitte Legal Corporate Commercial Team, where she gained experience in a variety of commercial and corporate transactions.
In 2013, Natasha started working at JSE Listed Company, Life Healthcare Group, as a Senior Legal Counsel. She was later promoted to Deputy-Head of the Legal Department. At Life Healthcare, she gained extensive in-house commercial and corporate experience, forming part of a small team of specialised in-house legal counsel that provide commercial and corporate legal services to the whole Group. Natasha managed the Group’s Data Privacy (POPIA) implementation project, ran many of the Group’s South African acquisitions, corporate restructuring transactions and property acquisitions, worked closely with the Finance Department on many of its Group finance transactions and assisted with the Group’s general day-to day legal and contractual needs.
Natasha established Jansenn Attorneys in May 2017.
From October 2020 to July 2023, she was also appointed as a Data Privacy and POPIA Consultant at Lawtons Africa.
